Summer Kick-off in Dalarna – June 2026

Welcome to an eventful start of the summer in Dalarna! The first two weeks of June offer everything from world-class music to public festivals and sporting challenges.
- Major Concerts at Dalhalla: The unique limestone quarry hosts Lewis Capaldi on June 4 and rock legends Def Leppard on June 13.
- Åfesten in Falun: From June 5 to 7, central Falun will be filled with a large city festival featuring artists, markets, and a fairground.
- National Day June 6: Sweden’s National Day is celebrated across the region. Don’t miss the concert with Dalasinfoniettan in Falun or festivities at Rommehed and Leksand’s “Gropen”. On the same day, Avesta Art has its grand seasonal opening.
- Sports and Adventure: June 6 marks the start of the Siljan Runt cycling event. Leksand Sommarland kicks off the season with a National Day party on June 5–6.
- Culture: Enjoy music at Smedjan Stjärnsund with performers like Helen Sjöholm on June 7 and Ronny Eriksson on June 12. On June 13, the traditional folk music festival Stabergstämman takes place in Falun.
